JDM provides consulting services to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in several capacities. We have managed the development and deployment of the EPA ENERGY STAR® commercial and multifamily real estate programs, which assist owners and managers in making their properties more competitive and valuable through energy efficiency. Through these programs, JDM has provided guidance to owners and managers of over two billion square feet of real estate, and has developed and delivered hundreds of training sessions to thousands of practitioners. On behalf of ENERGY STAR, our personnel regularly present to national audiences on topics including energy efficiency benchmarking and best practices, communicating value, and calculating financial returns of the sustainability initiatives.
Through ongoing strategic guidance and implementation support, JDM helps the ENERGY STAR program continue to evolve, developing initiatives and resources that increase its market-transformation achievements. We also support the EPA Climate Protection Partnership Division, which is responsible for an array of voluntary pollution prevention programs aimed at expanding markets for energy efficiency and energy-efficient products. JDM provides research, analysis, and presentations to assist EPA in developing and implementing demand-side energy management programs for utilities and regional energy efficiency programs.
