JDM assists TIAA-CREF to improve the energy and environmental performance of its office real estate investment holdings of more than 50 million square feet, multifamily investment holdings consisting of more than 12,000 units, and retail and industrial properties. JDM has helped TIAA-CREF to save more than $14 million in energy costs in less than three years.

JDM works to improve sustainability throughout the organization by developing portfolio-wide resource management strategies and programs, and providing technical and strategic guidance. To date, JDM has helped over 80 TIAA-CREF properties receive the ENERGY STAR label signifying superior energy performance. With JDM’s assistance, TIAA-CREF earned the prestigious ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award for energy management for two consecutive years (’08-’09) and earned the 2010 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award.
