JDM supported the VIEO by providing educational workshops aimed at raising awareness of energy efficiency across the U.S. Virgin Islands. Throughout this campaign, JDM worked to educate stakeholders in understanding their energy consumption and identifying and implementing energy-saving opportunities. We provided workshops for both public and private sector audiences focused on financing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies, identifying applicable technologies for the U.S. Virgin Islands, benchmarking energy consumption, and identifying no- and low-cost energy efficiency improvements. To promote the use of green loans and mortgages, we provided detailed information on the costs, financing strategies, and ROI potential of energy saving investments. Additionally, we helped publicize VIEO’s energy rebate program and educated participants about the available energy-efficiency rebates and tax credits.
