JDM assists TIAA-CREF to improve the energy and environmental performance of its office real estate investment holdings of more than 40 million square feet, multifamily investment holdings consisting of more than 11,500 units, and retail and industrial properties. JDM has helped TIAA-CREF to save more than $48 million in energy costs in four and a half years.

JDM provides consulting services to the EPA in several capacities. We have managed the development and deployment of the EPA ENERGY STAR commercial and multifamily real estate programs, which assist owners and managers to make their properties more competitive and valuable through energy efficiency.

JDM is assisting UDR, one of the nation’s largest multifamily REITs, to develop and implement a sustainability program for its existing and new communities that improves environmental performance, reduces operating and construction costs, and maximizes return on investment.

JDM assists CalPERS to implement California’s Environmental Initiative (formerly known as “Green Wave”), which encourages the state’s public pension funds to reduce the environmental impact of their real estate investments.

JDM Associates was selected in 2006 by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) to develop strategy, outreach, and educational materials targeting commercial real estate professionals of the Pacific Northwest.

JDM assisted the USGBC in the development of a portfolio-wide LEED certification program to extend USGBC’s offerings to owners and managers of large real estate portfolios.
